Bloom Collection

I began this collection back in March, as the first blooms of the season were beginning to show up. I was inspired by the onset of medicinal plants like chickweed, violet, purple dead nettle, and clover. I started designing the Bloom Collection with color palette in mind, using tanzanite and rainbow moonstone. As I continued to pull out of hibernation mode, the dogwoods, spiderworts, Bradford Pears, irises, and cleavers began to emerge as well.

The flowing line elements, fabricated in silver wire, are indicative of the sprouting vines and other flora that are so prevalent this time of year. The iridescence and flashing of the rainbow moonstone speak to longer days of sunshine sprinkled between April and May showers. The array of purples in the tanzanite reflects the hues of plant life that welcome the spring season.

This past winter, I have been anxious to begin springtime activities. As the land around us began to thaw and bloom, life also picked up speed and demanded my attention in many areas. Although the Bloom Collection is only just now completed in late May, I’m glad that I took my time and poured my loving intention into each and every piece. Spring deserves to be celebrated!

I finally feel like I am catching up to meeting my goals and fully prepared for an upcoming season of summer fun and lots of time in the garden! I hope you will find a piece from this body of work that truly speaks to you. I can’t wait to hear your feedback and send some of my newest creations home to you!
