Hearth Collection
I find myself turning a bit more inward now, settling in after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. With this shift in focus, I am doing my best to embrace a slower pace by trading in complicated to-do lists for hibernation with a blanket, a book, and a warm beverage. The slow process of freshly baked bread now comforts me as the aroma flows from the kitchen. I take it all in as I gradually mend some clothing for the coming year. The faint hum of an incessant, simmering pot of nourishing broth on the stove guides my mind in and out of dreams and imagery of future seasons.
The Hearth Collection is a tribute to the warmth of home as we navigate the colder, shorter days of another winter season. The deep maroon matrixes contrasted against the stark white of the Wild Horse cabochons used, remind me of snow blanketing the fallen leaves of autumn as the outside world grows quiet. Each stone is surrounded by one or more layers of border wire – as if to brave the outside elements. The dark patina and satin finish are indicative of the dense fog, lingering between barren oak branches.
This latest collection of jewelry feels like finding solace in rest and relaxation after several seasons of hard work, long days, and preparing. I invite you to join me in taking this time to consciously slow down, go within, and lay the groundwork for an upcoming season of setting goals and intentions.
